Farrell's Founded
It Started With a Biscuit
Since the 1960s, Farrell's has been a trusted name in greyhound feeding and nutrition in Australia, pioneering the first 4 x 2 dog biscuits. Founded by Evelyn Mary Farrell and her sons, Frank and Lionel, the company quickly became a staple in the greyhound racing industry

We Take On The Farrell's Brand
In 1977, Farrell's was sold to the Arnott's Spiller Group, but the brand was later discontinued when the pet food division was sold to Nestle in 1989.
Farrell's Ownership Changes
Preserving the Legacy
Farrell's operated under various owners, including BestCare Petfoods, which was acquired by VIP Pet Foods in 2009. Despite these changes, Farrell's remained known as the original creator of the 4 x 2 baked dog biscuits. Now, the Farrell's family has revived the much-loved original 4 x 2 biscuits, aiming to restore the brand's legacy in canine health and nutrition.

Our Founding belief
Our Family re-launched Farrell's back in 2021 when we saw an opportunity to bring back our much-loved Australian Heritage Pet Food favourite (in fact, the oldest pet food brand in Australia!).
With a great deal of devotion, anticipation and planning, we have studiously re-established the Farrell's brand and introduced PrimeVet with a promise and dedication to canine health and nutrition.
